Movie to Honor World War II Vets

A movie honoring heroes of "The Greatest Generation" will get a showing in Delaware County next week.

U.S. Rep. Pat Meehan (R-PA) is expected to attend the local debut.

According to an announcement on Springfield Patch

Honor Flight, One Last Mission -- a film sponsored by Honor FlightPhiladelphia -- will be shown  7:30 p.m., March 7 at the Regal Edgmont Square 10, 4777 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, Pa. 10973 which is in Edgmont Township. 

The event will feature a flag line formed by members of Boy Scout Trop 315, an honor guard from Media VFW 3460, a bugler performing the anthems of all branches of service and the children of Saint Anastasia School in Newtown singing the national anthem.

The Philadelphia area group that sponsors these trips was started in 2011 by Springfield resident Andrew Schiavello. Its next trip is May 25 and will leave from Saint Luke's Greek Orthodox Church in Broomall.
