New Springfield FroYo Shop Opens on Easter

Springfield has a new frozen yogurt store.  Yogurtland opened at 5 p.m. on Easter Sunday in the Olde Sproul Village Shopping Center.

New employees spent Saturday going over last minute details and procedures in anticipation of the Sunday opening.

Store owner Michael Haines says the store features 16 different flavors that are made with a special Yogurtland yogurt base not served in other stores.

Haines says he chose Springfield for his fifth Yogurtland Store after many customers came into his shop at the Jersey Shore suggesting he open one in Springfield.

Among the flavors that will be served on opening day: Red Velvet Cupcake Batter, Double Cookies and Cream, Mango Pina Colada, Fresh Strawberry, Vanilla, and several more.

The shop will be open at 11 a.m seven days a week.
