Purse Stolen From Shopping Cart, Police Say
A shopper says thief struck while she wasn't looking.
A trip to the Party City store on Baltimore Pike was anyting but a good time for an Upper Darby woman last Tuesday.
According to Springfield Police, the Upper Darby Resident reported that sometime around 8 p.m. her purse was stolen while she shopped.
"(She) discovered that her pocketbook had been stolen from her shopping cart. The pocketbook contained various forms of identification and numerous credit cards. The credits card were cancelled by the victim before they could be used," police say.
