Police Investigate Car Thefts

Springfield Police Department is investigating two recent car thefts.

Springfield Police Department is investigating two recent car thefts.

A Ridley Park construction contractor reported that sometime during the night of August 12 someone stole his white colored 2006 Ford work van from the storage lot in the 1200 block of E. Woodland Avenue. The contractor also reported that another one of his work vans was broken into and a large amount of tools were stolen. The van is valued at $25,000 and the loss of the tools is valued in excess of $10,000.

A resident from the 400 block of Prospect Road reported that sometime during the night of August 14 someone stole his tan colored 2005 Ford Explorer from the driveway of the home. The vehicle also contained a black Apple iPad in a leather portfolio. The car is valued at $12,000 and the iPad is valued at $400.
