Put 'em Up: New Workout Option for Springfield

The gloves will be going ON Saturday at Springfield Shopping Center as the new LA Boxing gym celebrates its arrival with a day-long grand opening party from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Instructor Bassil hafez and Sales Representative Michelle Hartman tell Patch the day will feature free classes designed to introduce you to boxing as a workout.  The sparring partners for most people are punching bags and the classes are taught by experienced boxers.

The LA Boxing gym is in the Springfield Shopping Center at the the corner of Route 1 and 320.

The grand opening schedule of free classes as outlined in a mailer from LA Boxing:

• 9:30 a.m Boxing
• 11:30 a.m. Kickboxing
• 2:30 p.m. Kickboxing

There will also be free food and face painting for kids.
