Slain Daughter Of Delco Police Officer To Be Laid To Rest Friday

A funeral for Ashley McLean, the daughter of a Delaware County police officer who was killed Saturday, will be held Friday in Swarthmore.

SWARTHMORE, PA — The daughter of a Delaware County police officer who was killed this weekend will be laid to rest Friday.

Asley McLean, 27, of Glenolden, died after being struck by a vehicle while crossing Lindbergh Boulevard at 84th Street near the Philadelphia and Sharon Hill border at 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

She was the daughter of Folcroft Borough Police Officer Leslie McLean, who is a member of the Delaware County Fraternal Order of Police.

McLean's viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and again from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Notre Dame de Lourdes, 900 Fairview Road in Swarthmore, according to her obituary.

A funeral Mass will begin at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

According to a GoFundMe set up for the McLean family, Ashley is survived by her two young daughters Aubrie and Charlotte, fiancé Brandon, her mother Leslie and her fiancé Ed, sister Amber, grandparents Debbie and Lou Defosse, father Steve McLean, stepmother Kelly, sister and brother Jenna and Matthew McLean.

Funds donated to the campaign will go to the Delaware County FOP Lodge 27.
