1 Killed In Main Line Fire Over Weekend

Paoli Fire Company and other first responders battled a blaze Saturday morning in Easttown, and one person died as a result of the fire.

EASTTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — A residential fire claimed one life this weekend in Easttown Township, according to emergency responders.

One person was found dead in a home on the 500 block of Foxwood Lane in Easttown Saturday, according to the Paoli Fire Company.

Crews were called to the property at about 11 a.m. Saturday for a report of smoke emanating from the home.

Firefighters met with a person outside the home, who said someone was still in the burning structure.

A search for the person in the building was launched immediately, and firefighters found fire in the basement and one deceased person.

Officials have not identified the decedent.

The fire is being investigated by the Chester County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Easttown Township Police Department.

One firefighter sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local area hospital.

The fire was under control within 20 minutes of crews arriving at the scene.
