Although we are still firmly in the grasp of the dog days of summer, the first bell of the 2015-16 school year isn’t that far in the future, which means parents need to start planning. Here’s the 2015-16 calendar for the Tredyffrin-Easttown School District.

· Labor Day Holiday – Sept. 7

· First day of school for kindergarten – Sept. 8

· Rosh Hashanah Holiday – Sept. 14

· Yom Kippur Holiday – Sept. 23

· Election Day Holiday – Nov. 3

· Elementary parent-teacher conferences, early dismissal grades 1-4, no kindergarten – Nov. 23

· Elementary and middle Parent-teacher conferences, early dismissal grades 1-8, no kindergarten – Nov. 24

· Thanksgiving Break – Nov. 25-30

· Districtwide parent-teacher conferences – Nov. 30

· Winter Break – Dec. 24 through Jan. 2

· Keystone exam window: Jan. 7-21

· Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday – Jan. 18
