"The purpose of this event is to increase community awareness of who FLITE is and what we do. FLITE is a non-profit education foundation that was formed six years ago to help students in the T/E School District. We have a group of unpaid volunteers who work incredibly hard to make sure that all students in our own community are able to get a quality education. We work with the administration and teachers to find out who is struggling and why. Programs are put together based on need, and we raise the money to fund these programs. At the high school, we offer free programmable calculators, college search assistance, SAT Prep tutoring, Summer learning opportunities and an intense reading program at ."
The largest FLITE program is our Homework Club and that is offered at every elementary school and both middle schools. When you consider that we provide Preschool tuition assistance too, you can see that our programs begin with early education and address needs through high school graduation.

We want people to know that these programs exist and if there is a student who might benefit from one of our programs, they should talk to their guidance counselor or contact us through our website, www.flite-pa.org.
Organizers promise "the basketball game is going to be fun."
