Aneu Bistro to Host Fundraiser for Mr. Yang
Yang's Market neighbor plans a dinner to help with a crime victim's recovery expenses.
Under the banner of "It Takes A Village" Aneu Bistro and Wine bar will host a fundraising dinner for Yong Yang on Wednesday, March 7. Aneu is a next door neighbor of with a restaurant on one side and a catering operation on the other side of Yang's.
The dinner is being organized by Aneu Bistro's Meridith McLoughlin and Douglas Kirschner from , another Yang's Market neighbor. The dinner is the latest in a series of fundraising efforts to help Yang meet expenses after he was attacked by two teenagers outside his market back in January.
, robbed and assaulted Yang in a surprise attack as he got into his delivery van. One of the thugs beat Yang with a blow to the face that broke his glasses and left him blinded in his left eye. Doctors performed a six hour operation to save his eye, but Yang faces at least two more operations that doctors hope will restore sight in the eye.

Cost for the three-course prix fixe dinner, which includes non-alcoholic drinks, is $55. $25 dollars from each meal will go toward Mr. Yang's Recovery Fund. Mr. Yang and his family did seek out the help, but have expressed heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the outpouring of support.
