Back To School: Tredyffrin/Easttown 2021-22 School Calendar
Parents in Tredyffrin/Easttown School District can mark the first day of school coming later this summer.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Back-to-school planning is happening in Tredyffrin/Easttown School District now, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day in TESD, and info on policies as school starts.
The first day of school for most students in the Tredyffrin/Easttown area is Aug. 30. Heading into the upcoming school year, some dates may be subject to change as the coronavirus pandemic nears its year-and-a-half point.
T/E School District is planning for in-person instruction, five days per week, for all students in kindergarten through 12th grade for the 2021-22 school year.

The District offered a survey to gauge interest in virtual instruction. The results indicated there is not enough interest to run a viable virtual instruction program for grades K-8, going into the new school year, the District said. However, there was sufficient interest at the high school level for the District to pilot one personal finance course in a combination virtual format during the 2021-22 school year. A big question in school communities is masks — and if they will be required. During summer school, mask mandates for TESD students were lifted, but the district has not issued a mask policy for the coming year, as yet.

TESD stated, "Due to the ever-evolving nature of local transmission rates, vaccination rates, and guidance from public health authorities," it would wait, anticipating there could be changes to the District's plan before the first day of school on Aug. 30.
TESD administration said updated information will be provided to TESD families by mid-August.
Here are some important dates to know for this school year in Tredyffrin/Easttown School District:
First Day: Aug. 30, with kindergarten starting Sept. 8
Labor Day: Sept. 6, no school Sept. 7
Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26
Winter Break: Dec. 24-31
Spring Break: April 11-15
Last Day: June 13
