Berwyn Fire Company Hosts Open House

Fire company's Saturday event includes fire safety information and demonstrations and a call for volunteers.

welcomed several hundred area residents to the fire station Saturday for an annual open house.

The event featured car rescue demonstrations, a house fire demonstration and fun for kids that included practical information about home fire safety.

Hanging on the front of the station was a big sign reading "volunteers needed."

says they are always looking for volunteers. Junior firefighters can be as young as 16. The company provides training and safety equipment. The Chief says there is also a need for volunteers interested in doing accounting and office support  jobs.
