Career Day at Conestoga High School

It's a chance for sophomores to learn about the work world from local experts.

Career Days 2012 are coming to Conestoga High School on February 28, 29th, and March 1st! Sophomore parents have scheduled over 40 professionals to serve as speakers in different subject areas and career paths.

The scheduled speakers are successful, dynamic members from our community who are donating their time for the future career enrichment of the student body. These volunteer speakers represent various professional career paths including finance, arts, education, law, small business, health services, medicine, engineering, environmental, specialty writing, entertainment, accounting and more.

Career Days 2012 is for the benefit of all CHS students, but is specifically geared to the Sophomore Class for the benefit of introducing different career path options that they may choose to explore as they make plans for their future and college course selections. The students will gain a greater understanding of specific careers within general subject areas. The speakers will be addressing their own experiences, answering questions on where to expect the greatest future opportunities, and how to begin selecting courses, internships and majors.
Traditionally, many of the speakers have volunteered to offer internships!

If your CHS student is interested in participating, signups will be February 22, 23, and 24th at the school. As stated, the Career Days sessions themselves will occur on Feb. 28, 29th, and March 1st.

A schedule of the speakers and their topics is attached for your reference.
