There's Still a Need
After the hearing, Yang's daughter told Patch that his life has been dramatically changed as a result of the attack. He was hit in the face and has lost sight in his left eye. Chae Yang says doctors have ordered her father not to return to work for now. He can no longer live on his own and he won't know for at least six months if he will regain any sight in his eye. She and her family expressed deep gratitude for the outpouring of support. Yang has Medicare, but it will not cover many of the costs associated with what could turn out to be a long recovery and loss of work.
How to Help
Meanwhile, Cuthbert is continuing to run what she is calling "bake sales" for Mr. Yang at her shop next to the Berwyn Fire Co. Friday's featured item is cake slices with all of the proceeds going to help support Yang.
