Water main construction will mean overnight road closures on

Water main construction will see Route 252 closed overnight between Lancaster Ave and Central Avenue for six days starting Sunday.  

Details of the closure are summer up in this press release from PennDOT:

Aqua Pennsylvania will close Route 252 (Bear Hill Road) between Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue) and Central Avenue in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, on Sunday through Friday (Oct. 6-11) from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., for water main testing, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced.

During this operation, Route 252 (Bear Hill Road) through traffic will be detoured over Route 30 (Lancaster Avenue), North Valley Road and Central Avenue. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone. Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area.

 The construction schedule is contingent on the weather.

Aqua Pennsylvania will complete the work under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
