Contents of a Berwyn Garage Go Up in Smoke

Berwyn Fire Company battled flames and freezing temperatures.

The Chester County Fire Marshall is investigating the cause of a fire that burned the contents and part of the structure of a garage Wednesday. Assistant Chief Justin Brudge tells TE Patch the investigation is routine and the cause of the fire is not suspicious.

Firefighters were called to 215 Warren Road just before 10 a.m. Wednesday. They arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the unattached garage and much of the contents on fire. The fire was put out within about 15 minutes. Frigid temperatures caused water to freeze in the building and driveway.
