CVS In Berwyn Closing Sept. 12
Customers are asked to contact the Berwyn store to request a transfer of prescriptions.

BERWYN, PA — CVS pharmacy is closing its Berwyn location at 550 Lancaster Ave., effective Sept. 12, as part of a cost-saving measure.
The pharmacy notified its customers in a letter of the closure, recommending that customers go to the CVS at 629 W. Lancaster Ave., Wayne, which is about two and a half miles away.
For a seamless transition, the Berwyn pharmacy will transfer prescriptions to the CVS pharmacy in Wayne.

The pharmacy said in a letter to customers that it would also transfer prescriptions to any CVS pharmacy, including the pharmacies in Target.
The closure is part of a nationwide CVS plan to lay off 5,000 employees and cut costs.
