Devon Fall Classic Bringing Horse Jumping To Main Line Sept 12 to 15

The event not only features equestrian competitions but also a festival atmosphere with live music, boutique shopping, dining, and more.

DEVON, PA — The Devon Fall Classic is back for 2024 and will feature four days of horse jumping on the Main Line.

From Thursday, Sept. 12 through Sunday, Sept. 15, The Devon Fall Classic will take place at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, 23 Dorset Road in Devon.

This event not only features equestrian competitions but also offers a festival atmosphere with live music, boutique shopping, dining, amusement rides, and more.

Equestrian competitions in the Dixon Oval include the $5,000 Open Jumper Welcome Stake on Thursday evening, and the $10,000 Open Speed Stake will take place on Friday evening. Saturday evening events feature the $7,500 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior/Amateur-Owner Jumper Classic. At the same time, the night concludes with the $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix.

"The Devon Fall Classic is another Main Line community and equestrian industry event that adds to our renowned lineup of horse shows, fairs, and fundraisers we host throughout the year," Wayne W. Grafton, Chairman and CEO, The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Foundation, said. "We are grateful for the sponsors, competitors, vendors, and guests who continue to make this September show a tradition while contributing to the beautification, maintenance, and tradition supported by The Devon Horse Show Foundation."

Beyond the show-jumping events, attendees can visit more than 50 boutique vendors offering apparel, home decor, gourmet food, and unique gifts.

The Devon Midway features amusement rides like the Ferris wheel and merry-go-round, kid-friendly games, and plush prizes.

Attendees may enjoy a variety of fair favorites, including barbecue, burgers, hot dogs, fries, sandwiches, pasta, salads, ice cream, and funnel cakes.

Live music performances throughout the weekend will take place at Clydesdale Corner. Thursday, Sept. 12, with DJ Brian Bohn from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday, Sept. 13, with Ricks Office Band from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.; Saturday, Sept. 14, with Just Add Water from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

National Anthem performances will feature Michael Krueger on Friday and Alison Rose on Saturday, along with The Valley Forge Military Academy Color Guard performing for the opening ceremony.

Tickets are available for as low as $8 for individual seats on Thursday and Sunday and $20 for Friday and Saturday. Special four-day ticket packages cost $375.

The event will also be live-streamed to 57 countries on the USEF Network.
