Dispatcher/Receptionist Sought For Tredyffrin Police Department

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Dispatcher/Receptionist is sought to support the Tredyffrin Township Police Department, and the salary range is $52,000 annually depending on experience.

This position is responsible for greeting and directing visitors; operating central phone console, relaying calls and/or taking messages; maintaining radio communication; data entry of citations, warnings, hearing notices, vacation notices, 9-1-1 hang-ups, lockouts, parking tickets, parking permits, etc.; maintaining files for abandoned vehicles, reconcile county incident reports, NCIC/CLEAN files; and assisting department clerks and secretaries as needed.

Applicants should be able to use basic Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Explorer) and data entry programs, and have the ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing.

They must also be familiar with use of personal computer workstations, copiers, scanners, printers, multi-line telephone system, and calculators.

Qualifications for this position include a high school diploma or GED; CLEAN/JNET certification or the ability to obtain certification within 6 months of assignment; and one-year’s general receptionist experience or similar position.

Radio dispatching experience is beneficial, but not preferred.

This is a full-time, non-union, non-exempt position, the salary range is $25 per hour depending on experience.
