Easttown Man Charged With Taking Videos of Women Without Consent

An Easttown Township man has been accused of taking videos of women without their consent.

Freeman Rodgers Cottrell, 46, of Slyvan Lane, was charged on June 26 with multiple counts of invasion of privacy and intercepting communications, after his ex-fiancé discovered a series of videos on his computer depicted the two of them having sex. The ex-fiancé, who was shared a residence with Cottrell at the time she had found the videos, said she had never agreed to be filmed, and did not know they were being recorded.

According to criminal complaint from the Easttown Police Department, the ex-fiancé found the videos while looking on Cottrell’s computer for evidence that he had been cheating on her with another women.

Also allegedly uncovered on Cottrell’s computer were videos angled to capture a view up another women’s skirt. The recordings were taken while the second victim had been seated across a table from the camera holder, according to police.
