An announcement on the T/E District website encourages members of the public to attend so that they can make an informed decision if an EIT is put up for a public vote on the April 2012 primary ballot.

The T/E School Board would have to vote to put the question on the ballot. Several spots on the school board are up for election next Tuesday. The question of imposing an EIT is a hot button issue. That is a different question than whether the tax proposal should even be put on the ballot. That is a question the school board would have to grapple with. It's one of the reasons the timing for the release of the findings is important, coming just five days before the school board elections.

Editor's note: An earlier version of the story reported that the 7pm meeting was at TE Middle School. It is at Valley Forge Middle School.  Patch regrets the error.
