Finance Director Needed In Tredyffrin Township Government
The finance director is a full-time, non-union, exempt position, with a salary range of $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Tredyffrin Township is looking for someone to lead its finance department, and the role comes with a salary in the range of $120,000.
The Tredyffrin Township finance director provides leadership and coordination of the financial planning and budget management.
This role will manage and supervise the finance staff to achieve goals within the available resources; analyze monthly and yearend reports; recommend cost control measures; manage cash flow and investments; prepare financial analyses for union contract negotiations and significant purchase decisions; work with other departments to plan for purchases and resale of equipment/vehicles; aids in the annual audit process; assists in the preparation of the annual budget; monitors budget compliance; and serves as liaison to the Board of Supervisors’ Finance Committee.

They are also required to explain financial policies, procedures, reports and ordinances; keep abreast of new legislation, regulations and amendments; and provide professional advice.
Knowledge and skills include the ability to use basic Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Explorer, and data entry programs; ability to communicate effectively in person and in writing.

Applicants must be familiar with use of personal computer workstation, copier/scanner/printer, multi-line telephone system, and calculator.
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or another related field.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant preferred.
- Ten years progressively responsible financial management positions.
- Must be bondable.
