Help Name Tredyffrin/Easttown School District's New Elementary School

Community members are invited to submit name suggestions for the new Tredyffrin/Easttown elementary school through now Dec. 6.

TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN, PA — As the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District works to open its new elementary school, the community is invited to weigh in on its naming process.

Now through 5 p.m. Dec. 6, TESD community members can submit name suggestions for the new school.

Based on Board Policy 7080, the school name should be indicative of the area in which it is located and not named after individuals or groups. Only names that meet these criteria will be considered.

Additional considerations when submitting name suggestions:

  • Historical and geographical significance
  • Ease of spelling and pronunciation
  • Distinct from the names of other schools in the surrounding area

All name suggestions submitted for the new elementary school will be subject to review by local first responder organizations, including fire, police and emergency medical services. This review is designed to prevent any confusion or delays in response times during emergencies.

After the submission period closes, district administration will review the submissions.

The list of name suggestions, along with additional background information, will be shared with the community at the January Ad Hoc Public Information Committee Meeting. At this meeting, members of the public will have the chance to offer feedback on the potential names.
