Learn to Keep Your Teens, Kids, Family Safer

Tredyffrin Police will present a series of public education programs designed to help keep the public safer and well-informed about critical issues.

Tredyffrin Township's Acting Superintendent of Police, Anthony Giaimo, has announced a monthly safety presentation for township residents. As part of his department's community crime prevention initiative, the “Police Learning Series” will host a variety of relevant topics presented by Township officers.

The public presentations are held on the last Thursday of each month beginning at 7 p.m. in the Township Building.

Spring Schedule for Tredyffrin Township Police Dept. Presentations:

March 29th: Megan's Law: What Every Parent Needs to Know
7 to 9 pm, Keene Hall ()
Officer James Konieczny will cover the use of Pennsylvania Megan's Law website and the grooming process used by child abusers.

April 26th:Drugs of Abuse in the Teen Population
7 to 9 pm, Multi-Purpose Training Room ()
Officer Russ Hittle will cover the most recent drugs being used by our teens, as well as signs and symptoms of use and abuse.

May 31st: Project Child Safe – Gun Safety
7 to 8 pm, Keene Hall ()
Mike Alexander, a NRA certified instructor and a State, Regional, National, and International Shooting Champion, will join with the police department to conduct this class. We will review what every parent, gun owner or perspective gun owner should know. We will also discuss Project Child Safe which is a Nationally funded program promoting gun safety.
Attendees will receive a FREE gun lock as provided through the Federal grant.
