TREDYFFRIN-EASTTOWN, PA — A soccer coach at Conestoga High School was suspended for betting on sports, according to a new report.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Conestoga soccer coach David Zimmerman was suspended in early 2025 after he and some students placed bets on individual player statistics.
The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District suspended the award- and championship-winning coach after the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association got a tip about alleged gambling among its athletics department.

According to the Inquirer, Zimmerman was identified as the person involved in the gambling by a tipster, and that the gambling involved less than $10.
