New Local Place for Live Music Opens Saturday
Berwyn's Music Workshop debuts a concert hall in the old town hall.
Starting this weekend local music fans will have a new place for live music performances every Saturday night.
Berwyn's is opening a new concert venue/performance space across the street at 6 Main Street (upstairs and around the corner in the building that is also home to ).
It's a concert hall in a beautifully restored space that used to be Berwyn's Town Hall.

The first concert will be Saturday at 8 p.m. with guitarist/singer/songwriter Bill O'Meara. The Music Workshop website offers this bio of the Philly-based musician:
Bill O’Meara picked up a guitar for the first time at the age of ten years old and almost immediately began a love affair with song-writing. A decade later Bill stood on stage at Citizens Bank Park (home of the Philadelphia Phillies)as the lead singer/guitarist/song writer of the band Morning Story and played to tens of thousands of fans as the opener for world renown act Bon Jovi.

Prior to Morning Story, Bill played in and released a full length album with the Philly-local band “Dirty Blue” in 2006, enjoying a few spins by local radio station WXPN and bookings at nationally respected Philadelphia area venues such as The Electric Factory, World Cafe Live, Grape Street Philadelphia,The Tin Angel, and many others.
Bill has shared the stage with renowned acts like Bon Jovi, Jeffery Gaines and a range of other locally and nationally respected acts.
Admission price for the new Saturday night BYOB concerts is only five dollars. There is plenty of free parking on the street and in a lot behind the building. The entrance to the concert hall is at 6 Main Street in Berwyn, a few feet up from the corner of Lancaster Ave., directly across from the Berwyn Train Station.
