Back in December a manager at the current store told Patch he had been told the new store was scheduled to open "sometime in the mid-March time frame" but he was not certain of a date and the timing could shift.

Now it appears that a major step has been taken toward the new store as workers finished clearing out and gutting the interior of the space earlier this week.

The new store is expected to include an expanded wine collection as well as a walk-through refrigerated wine showroom. Many other newer state stores have a similar feature.
