Police Log: Tredyffrin Township

Tredyffrin police arrested suspects on charges of theft from a mailbox, road rages, domestic disputes, retail theft and more in April.

TREDYFFRIN, PA —Tredyffrin police reported wallet theft, theft from a mailbox, and domestic disputes from March 31 through the end of April.

  • Joseph Staszak, 56, of Malvern is free on $25,000 bail on charges of harassment and making terroristic threats on April 21. Police said Staszak contacted a victim via text messages and threatened the victim’s safety.
  • Timothy Cuthbert, 62, of Philadelphia, was charged with identity theft, receiving stolen property and related charges. Police said an investigation revealed that Cuthbert stole a wallet from a retail store on April 7 in the Paoli section of Tredyffrin Township and used the victim’s credit card to make a purchase at a home improvement center.
  • Nathaniel Coleman, 26, and Deondre Smith, 25, both of Jamaica, N.Y., were charged with theft, receiving stolen property, possessing controlled substances and related charges. Police said the two stole mail on April 4 from a residential mailbox in the Berwyn section of Tredyffrin Township.
  • Zaair Abdul-Mateen, 22, of Philadelphia, is free on nominal bail awaiting trial on charges of making terroristic threats, simple assault and harassment after police were called on March 31 to a disturbance at a business in the Devon section of Tredyffrin Township.
  • Andrew Pinchin, 18, of Berwyn, is free on nominal bail awaiting arraignment in the Chester County Justice Center on charges of simple assault and harassment stemming from a domestic dispute on April 6 in the Berwyn section of Tredyffrin Township.
  • Alexander Donnelly, 36, of Philadelphia and, Austin Duus, 35, Mulan, Idaho, were arrested on April 13 on charges of defiant trespassing and possessing controlled substances. Police said the two suspects were trespassing on April 13 in an office complex in the Berwyn section of Tredyffrin Township.
  • Ralph Lewis, 38, of Temple, Berks County was charged with criminal mischief and harassment stemming from a road rage incident in the Devon section of Tredyffrin Township.
  • Jessenia Gonzalez, 44, of Philadelphia, was arrested on April 23 on retail theft charges after an investigation revealed that she stole merchandise from a retail store in the Wayne section of Tredyffrin Township.
  • Anil Handoo, 51, of North Wales, Montgomery County, was arrested on April 26 on theft and related charges. Police said Handoo received merchandise from a retail store, in the Devon section of Tredyffrin Township after he had received a refund for the same merchandise.
  • Jeffrey Plautt, 34, of Paoli, is free on $10,000 bail on charges of criminal trespassing and public drunkenness after officers were called to a hotel, in the Berwyn section of Tredyffrin Township, for a report of a disturbance.
