Police Search for Bank Robber

Easttown Police are asking for your help to find a bank robber.

Police are asking for the public's help to locate the man shown in surveillance pictures taken after an armed robbery at the at Waterloo Road Tuesday afternoon in Devon.

Easttown Police Chief David Obzud tells TE Patch the man should be considered armed and dangerous. The man left on foot, heading toward the Devon Train Station after robbing the bank at 2:46 p.m. Tuesday. Police stopped and searched the first SEPTA train to come through the after the time of the robbery. Obzud says police do not think the man escaped by train.

Obzud described the lone robber as a 6 foot 4 inch man who was wearing a mask, gloves and a hoodie. "He was covered from head to toe," Obzud says.

No one was injured in the robbery. A dye pack that was packed with the money exploded, possibly covering the robber in red ink.
