TREDYFFRIN, PA —The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission adviseded motorists traveling on Interstate 76 to be prepared for periodic traffic stoppages and traffic paces for controlled blasting in the vicinity of the Valley Forge Service Plaza.

Periodic stoppages of up to 15 minutes along with related traffic pacing will take place on the eastbound and westbound sides of the turnpike fro, 10 a.m. to noon on Mondays through Thursdays through the end of August.

The commission said the stoppages are necessary for the protection of motorists and workers to perform controlled rock blasting for continuing excavation in the vicinity of the Valley Forge Service Plaza on the eastbound side of the turnpike.
