TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Tredyffrin Township released their monthly report for November, highlighting police activity in the township from last month.

Below are crime statistics from November, and year to date:

Nov. 2
Patrol Officers were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at a retail establishment in the Paoli section of Tredyffrin Township. Following a brief investigation, an adult male from West Chester was charged with one count of harassment.

Nov. 9
After responding to a well-being check, patrol officers arrested an adult male from Williamsport after discovering that the Bensalem Police Department had an active retail theft arrest warrant for the subject. Patrol officers also charged the male with possession of a controlled/counterfeit substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 10
Patrol officers arrested and charged an adult male from Spring Grove after officers attempted a vehicle stop of the subject’s vehicle for exceeding the maximum speed limit on State Route 202. The subject was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police, possession of a controlled/counterfeit substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, maximum speeds, reckless driving, careless driving, and driving with a suspended license.

Nov. 13
Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for an adult male from the Paoli Section of Tredyffrin Township after their investigation into a Nov. 8 burglary of a Paoli retail establishment. The individual is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, defiant trespass, criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, and possession of an instrument of crime.

Nov. 20
After a brief investigation by patrol officers, charges were filed against an adult male from Pottstown after he intentionally passed a bad check at a law firm located in the Wayne section of Tredyffrin Township.

Nov. 21
Following a compliance check in conjunction with the Attorney General’s Office, at a Paoli retail establishment, detectives cited an adult male from Glen Mills for furnishing tobacco to minors.

Nov. 22
An adult female from Paoli was arrested by patrol officers at a Devon retail establishment after loss prevention officers discovered the individual taking items from the store without paying for them. Patrol officers also charged the female with possession of controlled/counterfeit substance.

Nov. 25
After patrol officers responded to the Wayne section of Tredyffrin Township for a loose dog complaint, an adult female from Wayne was charged with failing to confine dogs in/or at a home. The same individual had been cited numerous times for numerous other instances under the home rule charter before these criminal charges were filed.

Nov. 26
Patrol officers were dispatched to the Wayne section of Tredyffrin Township for a report of a domestic disturbance occurring in a vehicle. Further investigation led to the arrest of an adult male and an adult female; both were charged with one count of harassment.

Nov. 27
Patrol officers were dispatched to a residence in the Paoli section of Tredyffrin Township for a reported domestic disturbance. Further investigation led to an adult male being arrested and charged with simple assault and harassment.

Throughout November, patrol officers and detectives arrested six people resulting from active arrest warrants.

Police also offered up safety tips specific to the holiday season.

"As we head into the holiday season, our department encourages everyone to stay alert, stay prepared, and enjoy a safe and joyful time with family and friends," police said. "This busy season brings increased shopping, travel, and deliveries, along with a few risks that can be easily avoided with some extra awareness."

Home & Property Safety

  • Keep doors and windows locked, even when you’re home. This includes garage doors.
  • If you’re traveling, use timers for lights and ask a trusted neighbor to keep an eye on your property.
  • Avoid displaying gifts or packages in plain view of windows where they can be seen from outside.

Package & Delivery Safety

  • Track deliveries and bring packages inside promptly.
  • Consider secure alternatives such as workplace delivery, pick-up lockers, or neighbors.
  • Sign up for delivery alerts so you know exactly when items arrive.

Vehicle & Shopping Safety

  • Park in well-lit areas and stay aware of your surroundings.
  • Don’t leave valuables or shopping bags visible in your vehicle.
  • Keep your purse, wallet, and phone close in busy stores and parking lots.
