Shoulder Resurfacing Work Slows Ride Home from School on Conestoga Road
PennDOT crews made for some slow going for kids and parents leaving two major schools.
Traffic was reduced to one lane on Conestoga Road just east of and Tuesday afternoon. Shoulder resurfacing work being done in the eastbound lanes at mid-afternoon created a slow ride toward home for hundreds of cars and school busses.
Crews expect to be working along Conestoga Road for much of the week, weather permitting. The forecast calls for rain on Wednesday.
Resurfacing Conestoga Road between Cassat and Devon State Road is just one part of a $7.5 million PennDOT roadwork project in Chester County.
