Sinkhole Cause Of Glenhardie Road Closure, Work To Begin Next Week
During the closure of Glenhardie Road, drivers can use Walker Road to Thomas Road to Richards Road to get around the closure.
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Officials in Tredyffrin Township Thursday said the indefinite closure of Glen Hardie Road is due to a sinkhole.
The sinkhole opened in the southbound lane of Glenhardie Road near the Glenhardie Road Bridge over Trout Creek.
Township Public Works and Engineering staff closed the roadway between the intersections of Richards and Colonel Dewees roads.

Officials said repair work is expected to begin next week, and will continue until the sinkhole issues are addressed, and associated repairs can be made.
Glenhardie Road will remain closed to through traffic for the duration of repairs.

The Township is working with Michael Baker International for further investigation and implementation of repairs of the sinkhole and roadway.
