Soggy Start for Tuesday But Warm-Up Is Coming
After a taste of summer on Monday, the region's getting a taste of April-like showers.
As temperatures climb and flowers start popping up in gardens and lawns, there's a reminder that it's not quite late-spring in the region.
Morning showers won't linger too long, according to the National Weather Service NWS forecast.
Today: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Light wind becoming west between 10 and 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. West wind around 6 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind between 7 and 13 mph.
Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 43. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68. East wind between 3 and 5 mph.
Thursday Night: A slight chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 45. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
