Spring Arrives in Full Force

Spring arrived at 1:14 Tuesday morning, ushering in a warm season on the heels of one of the warmest winters on record.

The last day of winter was warm enough to have people flocking to Rita's Water Ice in Paoli, even before the big first day of spring free water ice promotion from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Tuesday.

The rest of the week is shaping up to be just as spring-like.

Here's the National Weather Service (NWS) forecast for the first five days of spring in TE:

Tuesday: A chance of showers, mainly between 1pm and 3pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Calm wind becoming east between 4 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 69. East wind at 6 mph becoming west.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 54.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 72.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 65.

Saturday Night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
