T/E Finance Committee Faces Big Agenda,Issues
The T/E School Board Finance Commitee meets Monday, half an hour earlier than last year and with even bigger budget challenges ahead.

Members of the Tredyffrin-Easttown School Board Finance Committee will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the school district headquarters at 940 Valley Road in Wayne. The panel's new standard meeting time is 30 minutes earlier than last year.
The committee may need every minute that it can get as it grapples with some tough economic realities for the current and coming school years.
For the 2011-12 school year, T/E is faced with more than $1.1 million in increased pension payments over last year. That number skyrockets to a total of $16.7 million over the 2010-2011 school year expenses by June 2017.

On top of that increased expense is a projected $570,000 drop in tax revenues as a resulted of apealled tax assesments in the district.
