TT Police Push County for New Detective
Tredyffrin and other Chester County police want to do something about child abuse.

Tredyffrin Townhip Police Superintendent Anthony Giaimo was part of a group that discussed adding an additional detective to the county's police force to look into increased cases of child abuse, according to a story from Unionville Times.
Giamo was among a panel of law enforcement officials who met with for Chester County District Attorney (and former Tredyffrin Township Solicitor) Tom Hogan to talk about the need for more detectives with special training to handle the special concerns and approach often needed to investigate child sex abuse cases.
From the Times:
"In a period of austerity accompanied by a hiring freeze, the commissioners have individually voiced support for the 2014 addition of a county detective who will be assigned to the child-abuse unit, where investigations have nearly tripled in the past five years..."
