Traffic Restrictions Coming To Tredyffrin This Week
Construction and travel restrictions are in store for drivers traveling on U.S. 202 and Route 401 in Chester County this week.

Construction and travel restrictions are in store for drivers traveling on U.S. 202 and Route 401/Conestoga Road in Chester County this week, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
In Tredyffrin, U.S. 202 northbound and southbound will be reduced from three lanes to two between the Route 29 and Chesterbrook Boulevard interchanges on Wednesday, Aug. 5, and Thursday, Aug. 6, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., and on Friday, Aug. 7, from 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. for installation of signs and noise wall panels, as well as bridge abutment painting.
Next weekend, lane and ramp restrictions will be in place at the U.S. 202/Route 401 interchange in East Whiteland Township for the reconstruction and widening of Route 401.

In addition, the northbound U.S. 202 off-ramp to Route 401 will be closed for excavation and concrete paving from 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10. During the ramp closure, northbound U.S. 202 motorists heading for Route 401 will be directed to exit at the U.S. 30/Frazer off-ramp, and then turn right onto U.S. 30/Lancaster Avenue east and left at Route 401.
From 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, Route 401 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Mill Lane and Moores Road for road construction. Periodic flagger-controlled, single-lane patterns and brief stoppages may occur during overnight hours.

From 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, and from 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, to 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, Route 401 will be reduced to one lane between Mill Lane and Moores Road.
Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel and use extra care when driving through the construction zones. The work schedules are dependent on the weather.
