Trash Hauler Cited By East Whiteland Township
The township issued two citations against AJ Blosenski in connection with not picking up trash timely.

EAST WHITELAND, PA —East Whiteland Township has issued non-traffic citations to AJ Blosenski and Waste Connections in the wake of multiple and continued violations of the township code, officials said.
Scott Lambert, chairman of the board of supervisors, said the township is actively monitoring the trash collection issue following complaints about trash not being picked up on schedule.
He said the township’s solid waste and recycling ordinance requires trash to be picked up once a week. The 11-square-mile township has nearly 14,000 residents.

"Defendants failed to provide garbage and trash collection once each week as required by code,” Lambert said.
Two citations for violations at the same property have been filed in District Judge Lauren N. Holt’s office in Wayne.

If the defendants are found guilty, the fines they levy can range from $100-$1000 per violation.
Blosenski, based in Elverson, apologized to customers for service interruptions, noting the delays were due to staff shortages. Company officials said that they are aggressively hiring and training trash collectors.
Lambert said the supervisors are actively monitoring the situation and communicating with Bolenski.
Only residents of East Whiteland Township can report trash collections to the township via email at publiccomment@eastwhiteland.org.
The township officials warned that it is possible that further citations will be issued if deemed necessary.
Neighboring Tredyffrin Township is in the process of transitioning to municipal trash collection following complaints about trash haulers not keeping to a schedule.
The township put out a request for bids due by Aug. 24. Tredyffrin's plan is to implement trash collection beginning in January 2024.
