Tredyffrin Detective Promoted
Decorated veteran police officer is promoted to supervisory role for the patrol division.
Veteran Tredyffrin Township Police Detective Brian Hughes was promoted to the rank of Sergeant during a ceremony Monday night at the Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors meeting.
Hughes is a highly honored and decorated detective. In his new role as sergeant he will manage and back up officers in the patrol division.Â
Hughes has been with the Tredyffrin Police Department since 1992. He is a polygraph expert, a Pennsylvania Crime Victims Officer of the Year Honoree and a Tredyffrin Police Department Officer of the year, among a long list of professional accomplishments. He is a father of three. His youngest daughter Emily held the bible as he took the oath of office from Magisterial District Judge Analisa Sondergaard Monday night.
