Tredyffrin Police Hosting Citizens Police Academy Sept. 18 To Dec. 11
Topics include tactical operations, criminal investigations, traffic safety, and drug investigations, patrol procedures, and more.
TREDYFFRIN, PA — Tredyffrin Township residents are invited to join the 25th Annual Citizens Police Academy.
Classes will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays for 12 weeks at the Tredyffrin Township Building.
The academy will run for 12 weeks, from Sept. 18 through Dec. 11. Class will not be held during the week of Thanksgiving.

The program was created to give people from the community a close-up view into how the Tredyffrin Police Department functions and the vast array of services it provides.
Participants get the chance to come to the police department once a week and learn about various topics.

Topics include domestic violence, tactical operations, criminal investigations, traffic safety, and drug investigations, patrol procedures, a tour of the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus, a tour of a local fire department, community policing, and guest speakers from the District Attorney’s office and other cooperating agencies.

Seniors, and those applicants who have served, or are actively serving in our military, should ask about a registration fee waiver.
