When will Ice and Slush Melt Away?

Saturday morning's snow hangs on with frigid overnight temps, but it may not be around for long.

The first snowfall of the year dropped about three inches of snow on Tredyffrin and Easttown, but it may not be around much past Monday morning.

The National Weather Service (NWS) forecast calls for a slight chance of rain late Sunday afternoon and temperatures hovering around the freezing mark all day Sunday. The real melt will come on Monday when temperatures are forecast to climb into the 50's.

Sunday: A slight chance of rain after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Sunday Night: A slight chance of rain or freezing rain before 3am, then a chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 32. East wind between 3 and 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Monday: Rain, mainly after 7am. High near 53. Southeast wind between 6 and 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
