Winberies to Re-Open Next Week, Reports Say
Winberies owners are making revolutionary changes to the restaurant.

The owners of Winberies in Wayne are makin revolutionary changes to the restaurant which has been in Tredyffrin as Winberies for nearly 30 years. Â The tavern is not changing hands but it is changing names, according to township officials. Â The new name will is Black Powder Tavern, a reference to the gunpowder that was reportedly stored in the building when George Washington wintered down the road in Valley Forge during the winter of 1777-78.
Township officials tell Patch the restaurant is expected to re-open on October 17. A report on the Philadelphia Business Journal says Back Powder Tavern will feature "24 beers on tap and fare like a steakhouse prime burger and a pastrami-smoked salmon rueben."

"Now Hiring" signs were posted at the restaurant earlier this week. Â Interested applicants should go to the restaurant in person.
