Wind & Rain Bring Down Trees & Power Lines
Downed trees leave thousands without power in Tredyffrin and Easttown townships.
In the Valley Hills neighborhood of Paoli, there were at least two downed trees and a neighbor reported a third.
The trees have taken out power lines and are blocking the roads, making it impossible for residents to leave home by car.
Neighbors came together to start to cut up a tree across Biddle Road, but they stopped after police told them to, in case any of the power lines should become live.

A neighbors said that the tree down on Fennerton was on a live wire that was sparking. The line was no longer sparking when I got there to take pictures.
Closures

Many businesses are closed Tuesday.
Tuesday morning, there were a number of cars driving around the parking lot of Gateway Shopping Center, apparently looking to patronize one of the businesses, but they all appeared closed. Some had signs on the door, including Panera Bread and others, such as the liquor store, still had sandbags across their doorways.
PECO
PECO lines are busy with reports of downed power lines.
I was on hold for 50 minutes trying to report a downed power line before I had to hang up for another call. When I called back, a PECO operator answered within a few minutes and quickly and efficiently took all my information, including the other downed lines I then had to report.
Do you have a photo of a downed tree or power line near you? If you can shoot it from the safety of your home, upload a photo here.
