Man Broke Into Upper Dublin House Twice In Same Day: Police

A man tried to enter a Fort Washington home twice Wednesday morning before he was caught by police.

FORT WASHINGTON, PA—Police said a man tried to break into the same home twice on Wednesday morning before being caught.

The Upper Dublin Township Police Department said that at 3:28 a.m. Wednesday, a man tried to enter a home in the 200 block of Washington Lane in the township's Fort Washington section.

The homeowner confronted the man, who police said did not know the suspect. The subject fled before the police arrived.

A check of the area at that time was unsuccessful despite the assistance of surrounding police departments, including a K9 officer, police said.

Less than three hours later, at 6:09 a.m. Wednesday, police returned to the same home where the suspect was found once again.

The suspect once again fled before police arrived.

With the assistance of surrounding police departments and a drone, officers established a perimeter and searched the area for the suspect, police said.

He was located at Bethlehem Pike and Washington Lane at 7:26 a.m. Wednesday and was taken into custody.
