A 60-year-old Lansdale man was found slumped over in a grassy area by the tennis courts Wednesday morning

A 60-year-old Lansdale man was found dead in Wednesday morning, and a source familiar with the case confirmed the man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Lansdale Police responded to the park for a 911 call of an unresponsive subject, police said.

An employee of the parks and recreation department discovered the man slumped over in a grassy area close to the tennis courts, police said.

A preliminary investigation by police and Montgomery County Coroner's Office indicated the man died overnight May 15 into May 16, police said.

No foul play occurred, police said.

The identification of the man will not be released by Patch.
