The board ended up unanimously approving the personnel committee report.

Cannon stands accused of having young children sit on his lap during bus rides to and from school.

Some of those students who allege wrongdoing claim that Cannon fondled them sexually during the incidents.

School district records show that Cannon was placed on unpaid administrative leave on May 26 after he was arrested and criminally charged.

Records show that his firing was effective Aug. 16.

Cannon is scheduled for a formal arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court on Sept. 21.

He remains free on bail.
