Upper Dublin Sports: Softball Falls To Wissahickon, 3-1

The Lady Cards nearly found themselves on the wrong side of a no-hitter, until Sarah Rosenbaum hit a home run in the bottom of the 7th.

The Upper Dublin softball team fell to rival Wissahickon on Thursday, 3-1, as the Lady Cards faced a near-perfect performance from Trojans starting pitcher, Katie Ziegler, on Thursday afternoon.

Ziegler was credited with the win, allowing only one run on one hit, which came courtesy of Upper Dublin's Sarah Rosenbaum homerun in the bottom of the 7th inning.

The Lady Cards received another solid outing from pitcher Kristin Ganderton, who surrendered two earned-runs on five hits while striking out 10, but that wasn't enough to outduel her Trojan counterpart.
