69-Year-Old Woman Killed By Police In Upper Moreland: DA
County detectives are investigating the use of force.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — A woman was shot and killed by police in Upper Moreland Township on Sunday after pointing a gun at first responders and refusing to put it down, the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office announced.
The incident occurred at around 5:06 pm. on the 100 block of Evans Avenue in the Willow Grove area.
Police were called to the scene after residents said the 69-year-old woman was "waving" the gun outside her home, according to the DA.

When police arrived, they ordered her to drop the weapon, and she refused, authorities said.
Shen then pointed the firearm at EMTs and police and was shot by an officer, according to police.

The DA said the police immediately offered her aid and she was taken to Abington Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
