Armed Man Abducted Victim, Robbed Home In Upper Moreland

Police said an armed man robbed the victim of his phone and wallet, then made the victim drive home, where the robber stole money and more.

UPPER MORELAND, PA — Authorities in Montgomery County are asking for help finding a man who committed a gunpoint robbery earlier this month,

According to Upper Moreland Police, a man who works on Turnpike Drive was taking a break in his vehicle at about 5:45 a.m. June 1 when a man with a handgun got into the backseat of the vehicle.

The man took the victim's phone and wallet, then ordered the victim to drive to the victim's home, police said.

There, the suspect went inside and stole money and other belongings, according to police.

The suspect then left the area on foot, police said.

Police described the suspect as a light-skinned man, possible white or Hispanic, standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall.

He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a surgical mask, police said.
